they pass
To and fro
however despite their wandering eyes
They cannot see me in the dark
I'm beyond their light
Only eyes in the darkness can see me
Can feel the awful things I feel
And these eyes are alone as I

These creatures I feel safe around
They wont harm me I know
And here I am affraid to let people in

Night dawned on the small town covering it in a blanket of darkness. The stars and moon had hidden themselves out of sight and the only things to illuminate the path were the flickering streetlights that seemed to have minds of their own. So, every now and then a light would go off leaving the passer-by in utter blackness.
This came to be an advantage to the kids of Greensville. The lights, in fact, scarcely scared them anymore. They had grown accustomed to the streetlights and the pathways home. So on Halloween night, the lights became an entertaining aid to the festivities.

Buried beneath the dirt
Within this shallow grave
My lungs gasp for air
Dismembered, here I lay
I rip the gag you placed
Bound tight around my skull
The ropes that held me down
